A Winning Streak Forecasted by Adidas CEO
German sporting goods producer Adidas will hit its sales goals if the company’s CEO Herbet Hainer is to be believed. Despite a modest decline in sales in 2009 the year before, 2008, had been the company’s best ever year.
Hainer is expectant:Adidas will, according to Hainer meet or even exceed the revenue target the company has set itself with an anticipated £100 million being generated as a result of the 2012 Olympic Games alone.
Although the economic prospects are stormy, Hainer forecasts that Adidas have great future propsects: With a product line that speaks to people’s concerns about wellness, and pricing that keeps the company’s products within range of the mass market, the company appears to be well place to deliver. Sports shoes like the Adidas Forum Mid shoe show that the company is on the right track.
Adidas is a major player in the sporting goods market, second behind Nike, which is the market leader. In addition to large sporting events, promotions and sponsorship the company is looking to expand its sales base into new market segments and marketplaces.
